Dr. Kerry Laub

Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Kerry Laub earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., and her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology and is a member of the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association.  Dr. Laub has experience practicing as a licensed audiologist in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region in various audiology and otolaryngology practices.  Her focus is on assessing, diagnosing, and treating hearing loss and balance disorders.   She has also worked with U.S. veterans with hearing loss discerning eligibility for disability benefits.

Committed to improving the quality of life of her patients, Dr. Laub provides personalized service by learning about each patient’s unique needs and searching for optimal solutions for one’s lifestyle. She is dedicated to educating the community on hearing healthcare, and the impact hearing loss can have on other aspects of our health including memory loss, cognitive dysfunction, isolation, fatigue, and stress.  Dr. Laub inquires about these down-stream health concerns which are affected by the isolation which ensues from untreated hearing loss.

Hearing loss and cognitive decline are closely inter-related.  Fatigue can ensue by straining to hear conversation.  Tinnitus is frequently associated with hearing loss, and can be associated with stress, distraction, and depression.   Dr. Laub investigates not only the objective measures of hearing loss, but also these associated health conditions.   In so doing, she tailors a personalized recommendation for hearing loss to improve your quality of life.

Kerry is a New Jersey native but has lived in Washington, D.C. since 2013 and enjoys engaging in all that the city has to offer.  She loves to be involved in the ever-growing food scene in D.C., and in her spare time practices her culinary skills at home.
